Getting to Spain..

For those travelling from the North of England we would recommend flying to Malaga. There are several flights daily from Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, East Midlands etc.  Those travelling from London or other major airports in Europe might have the option of flying direct to Granada Airport. There are regular flights to Sevilla (From Manchester) and indirect flights to Granada, from the UK via Madrid.

Getting to Granada...

Coach

There is a coach service direct from Malaga Airport to Granada Bus Station. The bus goes every hour, daily, up until about 11pm.

You can use the following English version URL to book tickets:

Málaga – Granada: 2 hrs
Granada Airport – Granada: 30 mins

Sevilla – Granada: 3 hrs

When you arrive in Granada, there is a Taxi Rank directly outside the bus station to take you to your hotel.

Granada isn´t a huge city so expect up to a 15minute journey from here.

Rent a Car

If you´re thinking about renting a car, this can be an affordable option in April.

The wedding is just outside of high season, before the Guiri´s invade the coastline between May and September.

On arrival in Malaga Airport, you can get to the car rental area simply by taking the lift down to Floor -1 after passing Border Control.

The lift is just to the left of the baggage collection. Don´t leave the airport building, we made this mistake the first time!

The drive to Granada will take roughly 1hr 30mins.

TOP TIP: Don't use the inside lane on roundabouts. It's only purpose, as far as anyone can tell, is for lost tourists.

You might prefer to take the train. This can be a great option, particularly if thinking of staying a night or two first in either Malaga or Sevilla.
